Day 15

Episode 5 – Fashionable Frenzy

Day 15

Banana Tribe

Cori ~ Ryan ~ Cody ~ Daniel ~ Ingrid ~ Elizabeth ~ Michaela

Although on the outside, this tribe was looking great both physically and mentally, one member was distraught over last nights festivities.

As the tribe was sleeping, Ryan was not. After last nights “Tuesday”, he couldn't get any sleep, he was furious that his privacy could be so easily invaded, and couldn't stand another day with these people, or so he thought.

“I can't believe they did that, I mean they don't have the right to question whoever they want, Tuesdays are stupid, mean and hurtful. They shouldn't ever be done again!” Ryan said to himself, almost muttering.

“You're right, they are!” Michaela said, surprising Ryan.

“Where did you come from?!?” Ryan almost fell off of his hay bail.

“No matter, but I do agree with you, why should you force someone to tell you something that they don't want to tell you?” Michaela tried to sound as believable as possible.

If Ryan would believe her, after she was the one who wanted to play the game, she would play him like a fool. Ryan would go to anyone who would take his side, now all she needed to do was pop the question. (*snicker*)

“So, we both feel the same way, why don't we make an alliance?” Michaela asked, laying the bait.

“Final Two?” Ryan said, taking it with ease.

“Final Two,” Michaela said confidently walking away as the tribe began to wake up.

As Ryan prepared banana for breakfast, he was confident that he would go all the way with Michaela, she didn't have a reason to lie to him, he hoped as he announced that roasted bananas were served.

Michaela's position on the game was an interesting one, ever since Mitchell was voted out, she decided to play the game to the best of her ability. In her mind, the word play meant playing challenges, playing alliances, and playing people.

Since the proclaimed “Tuesday”, the tribe had been more tense than it should have. Ingrid and Michaela didn't like this tension, they needed to do something so that they weren't held responsible for the tribes negative morale.

“We need to do something, Michaela!” Ingrid exclaimed.

“I know, but what should we do?” Michaela asked.

“Well....” Ingrid thought, as it clicked, “I've got it!”

“What? What is it?!” Michaela said as Ingrid grinned.

The Banana Tribe was sitting around the haystack discussing the tribal council that was going to occur.

“Who do you think is going to go home tonight?” Cody was eager to know what his tribe mates thought about the topic.

“I really hope it's Brittney,” Elizabeth said, “She doesn't belong here and should be gone as soon as possible!”

“Hey, there's uh.. Mall Mail here,” Michaela said, trying to act confused.

“What?!?” the tribe said in unison as they opened the mail, surprised at it's contents.

Around your camp

We have planted some clues.

Once you find them,

You will find some good news,

So go on, get looking!

There's not that much time!

That now concludes, the end of this rhyme.

“That's an interesting clue...” Elizabeth said, confused.

“But, where do we start?” Cody wondered, as his question was just as soon answered.

“Right here!” Ingrid said as she read the clue, “The first step to the treasure is under your nose, don't take a step, or it'll be under your toes.”

“That ones easy, it's under this hay bail!” Cori said, lifting the hay bail and getting the clue.

“Hmm... this one says 'You've found the first clue, you should be glad, if you can't find this clue, you might just get mad. Look high and low, the former is better, and you might find, the next part of this letter', weird.. what do you think it means?!?”

“Well, it said that the former is better, maybe that means it's the first choice, which would be.... high!” Ryan reasoned.

“What could it mean by high?” Cori said as she looked up at the ceiling and saw a clue staring her right in the face, “Oh! Hey! There it is!”.

“This better tell us where the clue is!” Cody sighed as he read the clue, “Here it goes, 'Congratulations, you found the clue, one step closer to the prize, that would be you. You've looked high and low, you've looked near and far, now you must look for a clue in a jar!'”.

“Clue in a jar?” Daniel questioned “Do we have jars here? I don't know about any jars! Where are the jars?!?!” Daniel broke a sweat.

“Whoa, calm down there Daniel” Elizabeth said, baffled as to why he was so worked up.

Unbeknown to the rest of the tribe, Daniel knew exactly where the jar was. While he was walking to the bathroom this morning, he tripped over a glass jar with a small piece of paper in it.

“Hey guys! I found the clue, but I think the jar is broken.” Daniel said trying not to sound guilty.

“Congratulations, you found the last clue, now there is a prize waiting for you, go back to your beds, you'll find the prize there. Don't forget that you've already won something to wear.” The clue read.

As the tribe headed to their bunks, they found a ripe banana on each of their beds. They knew then, that this was a challenge by Ingrid and Michaela, and all of the tribe was glad that they did this, because it brought them together as a tribe, and showed them how lucky they were not to be at tribal council tonight.

“Gee, thanks guys!” Cori exclaimed, “This 'challenge' was totally fun! You sure pulled one over on us.”

“But who did those rhymes? It obviously wasn't Michaela. She's brutal at poetry!” Daniel said, as the tribe laughed.

Muffin Tribe

Brittney ~ Vedran ~ Sean ~ Mike ~ Katie ~ Julia ~ Dylan

Things were uneasy at the Muffin Tribe, and the fact that they were going to Tribal Council that night didn't help much.

Still undecided about yesterdays alliance troubles, Julia sat alone. She was busy contemplating how she was going to vote. She was the swing vote, would she vote with Brittney, or vote with Katie? If she voted with Brittney, she would have a free ride to the merger, and possibly even to the final two. But could she really do that to Katie? Her alliance-mate since the beginning, all those meetings in the girls bathroom, just thrown away?

“Stupid Jeff,” she thought, “Why did you have to quit, things would have been so much easier,”.

“Hey Joolz,” Katie said in a hollow tone, “How's it going?”.

“Well, it could be better,” Julia smiled for the first time today.

“Yeah, how did we get ourselves into this?” Katie sighed.

“Well, first of all...” Julia said as they both laughed.

“I'm going to leave you to you're thinking. Just remember, do what's in your heart, whatever you think is right,” Katie walked away.

Leaving her to her thinking was right. What was she going to do? Julia wished she knew, but the words of Katie rang in her, “Do what's in your heart,”. She knew what she had to do, she just didn't know how to do it. Julia sighed as she got up and walked away.

Vedran, Sean, and Brittney were sitting around talking about how Tribal Council was going to go down. They knew that Julia was the swing vote, and they needed to do something about it.

“We need the swing vote to get that basket-case Katie out of here,” Vedran said with just a hint of irony.

“How reliable is Julia as a swing vote? She'll probably realize that she should do the “right thing” and vote with Katie, she's not a smart choice to trust as a swing vote,” Sean reasoned.

“You're right, Sean,” Brittney agreed, “That's why we aren't going to have any use for a swing vote,”

“What do you mean?” Vedran asked as Brittney explained.

“Just listen up,” Brittney began her explanation, “If we don't stand a chance at winning Julia over as a swing vote, then we need to eliminate the use for a swing vote. We are going to get Julia to vote with us first, then we will force Mike and Dylan to vote with us. Blackmail is key, and we need these votes,”

“That's.. evil” Sean said, amazed.

“Evil, but if we can pull it off, we will control the game!” Vedran said as a smile started to grown on his face.

“So let's do it!” Brittney said, as the plan commenced.

“Hey Julia?” Brittney said as she came up behind her, “We need to talk,”

Julia knew that the four words that you don't want to hear in life are 'we need to talk', but Julia never thought that this would be an issue so early in life. Julia sighed as she motioned Brittney to continue talking.

“Listen, I know that I have come into this game with alliances already formed. I know that you and Katie have a very strong alliance, but think about it. What is going to happen when we merge? Cori, Ingrid, and Elizabeth are still all in this game, do you really think she is going to pick you over them? Once we merge she is going to totally ditch you! I can swear to you that I won't, We'll go to the final two!”

“Wow... you're right,” Julia didn't want to believe it, but she knew it was true, she knew Katie would pick them over her.

“So, you're going to vote for Katie tonight?” Brittney attempted to seal the deal.

“I don't think I have any other choice,” Julia said sullenly.

“I'm so sorry that it had to come to this, but I think it's for the best,” Brittney comforted her.

“Vedran, Sean,” Brittney addressed her alliance, “Phase one of our operation is complete. Phase Two – Blackmail or Bust,”.

As Brittney confidently approached Dylan and Mike, she knew that they would have no choice but to surrender to her demands. She knew that what she was doing was horrible and evil, but she loved the power that she had, kind of scary in it's own right. Making sure that Katie was nowhere in sight, Brittney laid down her demands.

“Hey guys, do you mind if I talk to you a bit?” Brittney asked in her “nice voice” knowing perfectly well that they want nothing to do with her.

“Good!” she said as she continued, “I wanted to talk to you about Tribal Council. I know that you guys are going to vote for me, but I would strongly advise against it. Julia has agreed to vote for us, and we now have the majority. If you choose to vote against us, you two will be the next to go, and that is a fact. So I will leave the choice up to you, even though you don't really have one. Ha ha ha!” Brittney laughed evilly as she walked away.

“What are we going to do Dylli?!” Mike exclaimed.

“We're going to do what we have to do. We don't have much choice, do we?” Dylan sighed, knowing that Brittney had them cornered.

“Attention Muffin Tribe!” Brittney announced, just before they were going to leave for tribal council.

“To avoid any tension, I would like to make sure we are all on the same terms tonight. It is to be known that tonight is the night that Katie is going to be voted off,” Brittney said as a slash of pain hit Katie.

Katie couldn't believe this was happening, she had worked too hard to be voted off this early. How could Julia, Mike, and Dylan all betray her? This was unbelievable. All that she knew is that she wouldn't go down without a fight.

“All of you decided that you're going to vote me off?” Katie asked, giving her former alliance members a glare.

“Katie, she didn't give us a choice, if we don't vote with her, we'll be the next ones gone. We don't have a choice, I'm sorry,” Mike pleaded.

“Sorry? Don't be sorry for me. If anything, I'm the one sorry for you! I can't believe you degraded yourself to her level. Good luck with the game, you'll need it a lot,” Katie said, dismissing them.

“And you?” Katie said, directing her comment at Julia.

“I'm...” Julia couldn't get the words out.

“You're what? A backstabbing, traitorous, kniving, loser? Is that what you are?” Katie said as she turned her back and walked away.

“Sorry,” Julia said, just a little too late. Shedding a tear.

“You guys, I think we should head to Tribal Council,” Vedran said.

Tribal Council

The trip to Tribal Council was less then harmonious, it was the most quiet that a group of teenagers have ever been. As they entered the Tribal Council area, they were greeted by Andrew.

“Greetings Survivors, you are definitely not the most talkative group, are you?”

“Uh.. okay then” Andrew interjected the silence with the first question, “You lost both of your challenges this week, is there one thing that can contribute to these losses?”

“Well, Andrew. Team morale has been an all-time low, and I think that is the biggest problem, and probably the reason for these losses.” Vedran said.

“Katie, you appear extremely subtle at this Tribal Council, is something that matter?”

“As a matter of fact,” Katie began, “Before we came here, I was informed by my tribe, and all of my tribe that I was going to be voted off. This came as an extreme surprise to me because I thought I had alliances, I thought I had teammates, and I thought I had friends. Obviously not.”

“Wow, is this true?” Andrew asked, as the tribe nodded in dismay.

“Oh, it's true!” Katie said, enraged, “I don't even see the need to vote! I'm going home, it's unanimous. Put out my torch now!”

“Is it agreed that each member your tribe is going to vote for Katie tonight?” Andrew asked.

One by one the tribe members raised their hands, until all hands were raised but Julia's.

“Julia, the choice is yours, you seal Katie's fate,” Andrew told her.

“I'm so sorry...,” Julia said as she raised her arm.

“Katie, the tribe has spoken, quite loudly at that,” Andrew said, cutting up her credit card.

“Goodbye,” she said, not looking back.

Katie's Final Words

I guess I could have been more calm about receiving that vote. But I still would never have thought that my alliance from the beginning would betray me for Brittney of all people. Oh well, I guess you can't trust anyone. This game hasn't seen the last of me, I promise, and I never break my promises. Goodbye, for now.

P.S. Andrew, you're suck.

Day 14

Episode 5 – Fashionable Frenzy

Day 14

Banana Tribe

Cori ~ Ryan ~ Cody ~ Daniel ~ Ingrid ~ Elizabeth ~ Michaela

The Banana tribe was doing great, they were gliding through the competitions, winning them all, eating and resting. Every time they won, they all received more shower tokens, now they definitely had enough to last them until the merger, which they were convinced would happen soon. The Banana tribe had total control of the game and had the Muffin tribe in the palms of their hands.

“We won again!” Ingrid yelled “That's like totally awesome, I like, can't believe it!”

“Ya man! We gonna keep winning too! Those muff-muffs don't stand a chance” Daniel said, getting a laugh.

“Really, it's a shame that they don't win more often, I mean, it's an equal game. They deserve the same rights as us! I'm starting a protest!” Michaela made her very unique statement.

“Michaela you idiot, why would we want them to win? We need to make them keep losing, so we go into the merge seven strong,” Cody rolled his eyes, but knew what he was saying wasn't true.

Cody knew what he was going to do, he knew that he wouldn't keep his alliances with his tribe once they got into the merge, that would be far too obvious for his liking. He may align himself with some people from his old tribe, but to Cody, when he got to the merger it was a new game. New players, new alliances, new game. He smiled as all of these thoughts rushed through his head faster than you can say “pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis”.

“Hey guys...” Ryan started to say something as Cori ran in.

“CLOTHES ARE HERE!” Cori yelled, as Ryan rolled his eyes.

“Oh, yippee!” Elizabeth cheered as she headed for the entrance to the store.

As the tribe reached the front of the store, they couldn't believe their eyes. Around the walls of the stores, there were racks upon racks of clothes, all sorts of clothes, pajamas, sweat suits, formal wear, and “jeans and hoodies”.

“Hey, there's a note here!” Elizabeth called to her tribe mates as she opened the envelope.

As the note read: “Congratulations Banana tribe, on winning the reward challenge. As you know, you have one not only the styles that you modeled, but new SunnyBeach.Inc fashions, such as pajamas, sweat suits, and more. Each of you have your own shelf in the store with your name on it. This is where all of your clothes are, and you can access them whenever you like. Enjoy the outfits ~ SunnyBeach.Inc

“Hey wow! There they are! That's cool!” Ingrid said, oblivious to the fact that the clothes appeared when nobody was looking.

“Wait a second...” Elizabeth knew something wasn't right but didn't bother to say it, and she didn't have to as she was interrupted anyway.

“So, why don't we do something for fun?” Michaela said, looking at Ingrid with an evil glint in her eye.

So as the tribe agreed to play Michaela's little game, having no idea what was in store for them, big mistake for them.

“The name of the game is..,” Michaela started.

“Tuesday!” Ingrid finished, letting out the laugh she had been holding in for so long.

The tribe groaned. They knew what a Tuesday was, and they didn't want to be a part of it, not during this lifetime anyway.

“So, who's in?!?” Michaela exclaimed.

“GROAN!” the rest of the tribe said, knowing that they would have to play this stupid game, which could potentially ruin the rest of their game.

“So, Glyde. Who do you like?” Ingrid smirked as she heard Ryan groan.

“Well, I like...I like...” Ryan stuttered.

“MALL MAIL!” Cori yelled, as Ryan let out a sigh of exasperation.

Muffin Tribe

Brittney ~ Vedran ~ Sean ~ Mike ~ Katie ~ Julia ~ Dylan

Still flustered by things around the camp recently, the Muffin tribe didn't need to take a loss to make things worse. The tribe members did that themselves. Things couldn't possibly not get worse, right? Jeff had definitely left his mark on this tribe when he left, it was an absolute disaster.

Jeff really had been controlling this game, he had a strong alliance, knew where everybody stood in this game, he was the perfect player, and when he left, nobody knew where to pick up the loose ends, and then this happened. Disaster.

Dylan and Mike, still very confused by the argument that had transpired the day before, decided to do some investigative work. Their first suspect? Katie.

“Hey, Katie,” Dylan said approaching with caution, as if Katie was a ticking time bomb (wait, what am I saying “as if” please!).

“Yeah, uh.. go ahead,” Katie said, wondering why Dylan looked so nervous.

“Well,” Mike interjected suddenly, “Well, we heard you arguing with Julia and Brittney, and we were wondering if you were okay,”.

“Yeah, I'm um... I'm fine, thanks,” Katie said, forcing a smile “thanks for asking,”.

“Don't worry about it, but what happened over there?” Mike asked, prying a little bit farther into the investigation.

“It's nothing, really!” Katie shrugged, trying desperately to get the topic changed.

“Katie, we're your team mates, alliance partners, you have to tell us. Or else.” Dylan said with a threatening tone.

Katie needed to tell Dylan and Mike about her argument with Julia and Brittney, how they didn't take her side, how they thought she was being ridiculous. As she told them she started to tear up again, and Dylan and Mike understood what they needed to do.

“And the worse part is, that they didn't even take my side, I mean, Julia and I have had an alliance since the beginning, and now it's just gone!” Katie began to get angry through her tears “This is all Jeff's fault! If he hadn't gotten himself disqualified, then Brittney would have never come here, she started all these problems, she deserves to be voted off!”

“We understand that, Katie” Dylan tried to get her to stop crying, but it worked to no avail.

“Listen, we are still in your alliance, but we are outnumbered, there is only three of us, and four of them, we need one more of us on our side!” Mike sighed.

“Nobody else in this game would want to be in an alliance with me, they all think I'm crazy!” Katie cried, wiping away her tears.

“Well, I know one person that doesn't,” said a familiar voice.

“Julia!” Katie was astonished that her friend kept her loyalty to her, or so she thought, “I..I can't believe you're here!”

“Does this mean that you are voting with us?” Mike questioned her.

“Yeah, I mean, are you really going to oust your Brittney?” Dylan didn't see this happening.

“I...I...don't know...” Julia said, unbelieving of what was rushing through her mind.

“Julia!” Katie yelled, but it was too late, Julia was already long gone.

What was she going to do? Julia wished that she knew. Would she vote with Katie, her partner for the game this far, and risk her own safety in this game by going against the guys in the tribe? If she did this, her alliance would have the majority of the votes and have control of the tribe. Would she side with the guys and Brittney, and vote out Katie, and then too her alliance with them would have the majority. Julia was the swing vote, either way she went, that tribe would be the majority. She had to choose, and she had to choose faster than she would have liked, as Brittney and Katie walked into the girls bathroom.

“So, whose it going to be? Me or her,” Brittney said as she shot Katie a glance.

“Me? Do you have a problem with me? That's fine, as long as Julia sides with me, right Julia?”

“I'm siding with....with...” Julia stumbled as she was so happily interrupted by Vedran.

“Mall Mail, guys!” Vedran said, as Julia sighed in relief.

Immunity Challenge

Finding your way around the mall,

will make this challenge quite a ball.

If you can remember what you wore,

and can find it in this maze, a store.”

“Welcome Survivors, to your immunity challenge. I can see that the Banana tribe is happily wearing you're new fashions, you'll need them.” Andrew said as the Muffin tribe wore a confused look on their faces.

“In this challenge, you will be working your way through a maze of clothing, trying to find specific clothing items to match the outfits that we have chosen from the SunnyBeach.inc line. You will each be given a specific outfit, with this outfit you will have to find the shoes, shirt, pants, hat, and sunglasses, that are included with this outfit. The thing is, that you'll be tethered together while you're doing it. Since the numbers are equal, you can take your positions,”

“Survivors ready? Go!” Andrew shouted as the teams took off.

The Muffin tribe was the first into the maze with their card, they were looking for the SunnyBeach.inc beach fashions, they needed to get a brown sun hat, a blue beach shirt, a pair of red beach shorts, and some black and white sandles. As they entered the maze they saw the Banana tribe pass beside them and turn left.

“Should we follow them, or go right?” Vedran asked.

“Let's go to the left, if they went the wrong way, and made the mistake, then we can capitalize on it!” Dylan said, and it seemed like the smart thing to do at the time. At the time.

So as the Muffin tribe passed through the racks of clothing, they found articles of clothing missing from the shelves. It seemed like they were going in a circle until they saw the rows upon rows of sun hats.

“Which hat is it? I hope it's pretty!” Brittney in a somewhat panicked state.

“It says... sun stone brown” Katie read off of the card.

“Which HAT is it?!?!” Sean was becoming impatient.

“Oh, you want to know what hat it is, that's easy, it's that one!” Katie said as her teamed groaned.

The Muffin Tribe continued their adventure through the maze, picking up their items along the way until they received their last item, and they headed back to the start of the obstacle course, but found some trouble along the way.

“We've been here already!” Julia yelled as she realized that they had been here before “This is where we got the sun hat!”

“The sun-hat! That means that this way is the exit!” Vedran yelled as her ran for the exit.

The Banana tribe was the second group into the maze, they followed the Muffin tribe, and then took a left at the fork in the road. This tribe didn't have much trouble at all finding the clothes that they were assigned, athletic wear. Since they had won the reward challenge, and Michaela was wearing her athletic wear, they knew very well what they were looking for.

The first item they had to find was a baseball cap with the Calgary Flames on it. Ingrid spotted it first.

“There it is, the flames hat!” she yelled as they grabbed the hat and kept going.

On they're way around they saw many empty clothing racks, the tribe didn't know what this meant, but they didn't stick around to find out.

“Next, we've got to find some summer athletic wear,” Elizabeth read the list.

“I found it ...and it's way too revealing, put it back!” Cori protested.

“Cori! So not the time!” Ryan said as he took it and studied it, “Let's go!”

As the continued to get their items they made their way to the exit, and it was music to their ears when they heard Andrew call out to them

Banana Tribe, wins immunity, Muffin will see us at tribal council, again.”

The Muffin Tribe was not pleased as they walked out of the maze just moments later, frowning as the MTV's pulled up.

“Muffin Tribe, I'll see you tomorrow at Tribal Council,” Andrew so politely reminded them, as the MTV's pulled out and headed towards the stores.
